This is the story of my very last and very long life. I was sent to a hell from which I was rescued.

Ch. 1 Gabriel

Gabriel sat in his leather chair behind his big desk, with his feet up on his desk. He had alligator shoes on and was admiring them. The fire was burning in the over-sized fireplace, and the windows surrounding his office showed a skyline of high rise buildings glowing like pink crystals in the sunset. He took a careful rolled cigarette from a gold case and rolled it in his hands for a few minutes holding it up to his nose and smelling it occasionally. It smelled sweet with a musky scent that lingered. He took a crystal glass and a bottle from his desk and poured himself a drink. He swiveled the drink in his glass and put it up to his nose to enjoy the fragrance. He took a sip and enjoyed the aftertaste left in his mouth. He lit it and took a drag inhaling the smoke deep and keeping it in for a while. He let the smoke slowly out through his nostrils and took a swig from his glass. Then he sighed a sigh of utter contentment as if he was high up in heaven. He was the newly appointed CEO of the most profitable company in the history of mankind, Heaven Inc. sitting in the penthouse office on the 666th floor.

Gabriel looked in the mirror. He had a white shirt with an open collar unbuttoned to reveal his black hairy chest. He had a face as black as his hat over his bleached white curly hair. And his walking cane made him look like a pantomime artist mimicking Charlie Chaplin.

Gabriel was a bachelor playboy who encouraged everyone to have as many children as they could afford, promising that Heaven Inc. would take care of them forever. Even when they were autistic which most of them were.

Gabriel was a very rich and important person and had close contacts with the politicians. He asked for a very special session of the World Council to consider a very special favor. The most influential people were present. The event was televised to all planets with tourists on them. As the people arrived, they were greeted by cameras recording their every move for all to see. How they dressed, the color of their shoes and hairstyles were scrutinized and discussed by commentators. A red carpet covered the walk from the entrance where people got out of their cars and walked up the steps thru the tall brass doors into a magnificent hall. When all arrived and were in their seats, a bell rang to signal silence.

Gabriel was sitting up on the stage and when the hall became so silent that you could hear a pin drop, he stood up, walked up to the podium, tapped on his microphone to test it and said.

“Something must be done to stop this suicide wave.” The head of the World Order of elected officials started clapping and soon everyone followed. “We hold life sacred and to reflect this and be consistent, the death penalty needs to be outlawed. We need to reduce the trend in killings, both of innocent victims, as well as of convicted murderers.” He paused taking a deep breath of air and swung his head from side to side in disapproval. Then he let loose - slow and quiet at first and speeding up with each word getting louder and louder.

“Those trying to ruin this paradise on earth that we have for the last 6000 years should be punished to deter others inclined to be converted or brainwashed into this lunatic religious sect that claims they are saving people by killing them.” There was a cheer of approval from the cabinet and a sigh of relief from Gabriel. Having children is one of the best things a man can have” he said to a roar of applause.

“Making children is one of the most pleasurable things a man can do” he said to another roar of applause.“Taking care of children is one of the worthiest jobs man can take on.” The applause continued. “And we at Heaven Inc. since over 6000 years have been proud to provide a secure home to brains, no matter whether autistic or not, whether loony or not, whether he ….mmmm ..” he couldn't find the words so he used body language and made a face of a crazy man and circled the side of his head with his fingers, as if he was mixing up his brain by rolling it around.

There was a cheer of approval from the cabinet and Gabriel breathed a sigh of relief.

New laws were passed in the next parliamentary session. Autistic children had to be treated like normal people and they had to be baptized with immortal robot bodies, and had to have non terminable accounts with Heaven Inc., just like normal people.

Gabriel was nominated for many prizes and won most of them. He had accumulated many humanitarian awards in recognition for his dedication to the RTLFA or “right to life for all” movement which he founded. This year he was awarded the best businessman prize of the year for increasing the most amounts of accounts and making the biggest profits for Heaven Inc.

When Dr.Joe Ova, the past CEO of Heaven Inc. was charged and found guilty of killing his own son, Chris, he was convicted for murder and executed. Gabriel, one of the founders of Heaven Inc. took over as the next CEO. Dr. Ova, was soon after referred to as Crazy Joe. Most were convinced that his insanity had to do with an exploration trip he made back to his old universe. His first words on his return were suspicious to many, right from the beginning.

“I have good news for all of you. I have good news for mankind, I bring news of salvation. We have been on the wrong road going the wrong way for the past 6000 years. We have deceived everyone for the past 6000 years, but it is not too late to repent. Repent and terminate all accounts. You have to die to have true everlasting life.” It made absolutely no sense, especially coming from the CEO of Heaven Inc., the company offering immortality for the last 6000 years.

At the beginning, Gabriel was elated for his promotion to the top of the most profitable company in the existence of mankind. But a few years later, he was very troubled. For the first time in 6000 years, Heaven Inc. was experiencing something never experienced before; termination of accounts. Terminating your account in Heaven Inc. or having it terminated once you signed the contract and paid the entrance fees and the life membership fees was not possible. Except when sentenced to death for murder and executed, which had never happened before. Following the lead from Dr. Joe Ova, followers of Joe started to kill their own children and pleaded guilty to murder demanding the death sentence, their only loophole to terminate their accounts with Heaven Inc.

Lucy Fer, the destitute mother and wife suddenly having lost both son and husband started a movement that claimed and accused Heaven Inc. of being a fraud and its guarantees to immortality and heaven on earth as being immoral deceptions. The movement believed that killing your own child before they were baptized with a robot body actually saved them from an immortal immoral life and freed them for an eternal moral one. Those convicted murderers of their own children took their punishment for their crimes as an escape and reward of an eternal life in what they claimed to be the true heaven. So they killed their children before they were securely locked into locked accounts with Heaven Inc. and kept safe from dying or being murdered and guaranteed an immortal life. The parents were then charged and convicted of murder and disgracefully disconnected forever.

Capital punishment for murder was outlawed in the next parliamentary session. A jail brain bank called Hell Inc. was conceived and established for those convicted of murder. To isolate inmates as best as they could from the security workers, it was decided that Hell Inc. would be built as far away as possible, in another universe, the only other universe immortal man knew, the universe from which they came from.

Ch. 2 Lucy

Lucy came out of the water drenched soaking wet. She lay on her towel spread on the fine sandy beach and spread out her legs to let the wind blow up between them. Her nipples hardened with goose bumps. Lucy was very beautiful. She had beautiful big blue eyes and long red hair. She had thin lips that and had a smile where she showed a glance of her white teeth like a wink giving her a devilish naughty look that turned on any man looking at her.

Lucy was mesmerized looking at the sun set below the horizon and listening to the waves wash up on the beach and roll back down into the ocean. The sky was full of squawking birds singing and dancing with the waves. She was awed by the beauty that nature offered. She fell into a sleep and she dreamt that she was back home. She was with her family and friends. When she woke up she wished that the dream could have continued forever. She let out a loud sigh that turned more into a whine when she finally woke up to the fact that she was all alone and nobody was there to hear her. She started to sob.

The 12 other inmates, known as her disciples were 6 couples, and deep down in her heart, Lucy was jealous being the only single one. She missed Joe and how he loved her. She missed Chris and how he came to cuddle in her arms every evening. She even missed her family who had turned against her and her friends who were ashamed to have ever known her. And whenever she has thoughts of how nice it would be if a man would be sent down to Hell Inc. forever who she could love like she loved Joe, she was overwhelmed with a feeling of shame that drained her completely leaving her drowning in guilt.

How ironic, she thought, that she should find herself back on the planet she was born on 6000 years ago. It was she who wrongly predicted that the earth would be destroyed and it was Joe, her husband who discovered a new universe to flee to. Together with Joe, they had led the greatest migration in the history of mankind. The migration had greater consequence than when the mythical figure Moses led the Jewish slaves to their freedom in their promised land. Dr. Joe Ova led humanity thru the black hole from their old earth, to their new promised land, their new earth, in their new universe.

Lucy's prediction of destruction proved to be wrong but mankind had already settled in and made their new universe their new home. The old earth mankind left was like an organism feigning death to be rid of a predator. Once man left, old earth revived and was soon covered by a rich thick coat of plush growth filled with life, like the paradise it was at the dawn of man, before man exploited it to near death.

Lucy and her disciples were sent to a huge continent called Australia. Their brains were securely locked up in a brain jail on another island 1000 km away called New Zealand. Hell Inc. was a very humane prison that offered comfort for its inmates who were called “residents for life”. Hell Inc. offered basic free health insurance for all replacement of body parts whenever needed. The body parts were the basic models without any extra super sensory or flying options. Sex was allowed but reproduction was disabled. Hibernating mode that allowed you to turn off whenever you got bored with your life and wanted to sleep a few centuries was not allowed, because then the punishment would be deemed not severe enough to act as a deterrent. Other than not being able to fly, hibernate, have children, or commit suicide, inmates were free to go wherever and see and hear and say and do whatever they wanted and were able to.

Engineers arrived regularly to check up on Hell Inc. They would charge or change any nuclear batteries needing maintenance, and ensure there were enough body parts for repairs. They would bring in reading and entertainment material and stock up the recreation room with snacks. Some immortal brains, especially close family members and friends, deemed it cruel when visitation rights were denied. Exchange of correspondence was also denied. Isolation of Hell Inc. was part of its design as the highest security prison ever conceived.

Life in Hell was anything but boring. The inmates slept, hunted, cooked, ate, played, made love and tried to enjoy their long lives as much as they could. They built nice homes, went swimming, played sports, went hiking and read and wrote books and listened to and played music. They remembered how nice it was to have children around and started domesticating animals. They greatly missed their families and friends. They also missed being able to fly down to new earth and visit new-man.

Ch. 3 Tweeter and Mary

Mary was born a new-man and lived on new-earth. She was the size of a small bird compared to the immortal brains who designed new-man from the “best” genes of animals and plants from the old universe they left behind. She had brown curly hair and large green eyes. Mary was a physiotherapist and had a private clinic especially for children. She loved children but was told by her doctor that she could never have children herself as she was infertile. She met Tweeter, while he was flying around free as a bird looking for some lady to marry and settle down with. Infatuated by his wildness and his love of adventure, she married Tweeter a few years later.

Tweeter was a dreamer. He wanted to try everything, but never did anything. “I'm not dreaming”, he often told Mary, “I'm thinking.” He had a beard and long hair that he didn't comb into place. Many people went to him and asked him for advice. He had a great advantage over others more gifted, he had contacts. Mary was very proud telling everyone almost bragging.

“My husband Tweeter knows Dr. Joe Ova, the man who designed us”. Tweeter was very handsome. He was greener and taller and had a bigger wing span than most.

Mary was obsessed with man, their designers who called themselves “brains” before their baptism into “souls”man and his superiority and his claimed immortality. Man was superior to new-man because he could see the entire spectrum of radiation, while new-man was relatively blind seeing only the narrow range between infrared to microwaves. Man could see atoms clearly, while new-man could only see cells faintly. Man could see and hear the past, while new-man could only remember it. Man could fly from galaxy to galaxy at hundreds of light years per hour, while new-man could only fly from mountain to mountain at the speed of a bird. Man had immortality to advance, while new-man had only a lifetime to learn.

Mary asked Tweeter many questions. “Does man believe in god?”

“No” Tweeter sadly replied. “Man believes that in the beginning about 15 billion years ago there was a fluctuation like an unexpected hiccup. The universe exploded and stretched, and an ash of particles remained behind to coalesce and take form.”

Man believed basic building blocks of life formed in soups of atoms as they cooked, curdled, clumped and grew into molecules of life that grouped and formed cells. With time, they believed that cells were able to sense their environment and move when they needed to. So they swam around looking for the sustenance of energy, and fled from the discomforts of danger. They grew in size to increase their awareness of their environment until they were too big to contain in one mass. The cells then made communication networks with each other and in this way groups of cells formed one multi cellular organism like seen in the colonies of ants and hives of bees. The cells having support of other cells evolved specialized functions. A few organisms gradually wiggled out of the seas and discovered land. And others wiggled from land and took to the air. They evolved to exploit their new environment. With time, one unique life form called “man” evolved and developed to a point where they were able to exploit their environment so much that they almost killed it and they evolved to survive as “brains” and reached immortality as “souls”.

“Did nature die?” Mary asked worried.

“No, thank god. Nature played dead to try to rid herself of the dangerous virus that man was to her.” Tweeter replied.“ Freed from the bonds of nature, man became immortal. Burying nature and preserving her genes in data-banks, man built a home as far away as possible. In another universe.”

“Can man read the past?” Mary asked.

“Man can go back to the past, but only to passively record and recreate and to play it back using virtual reality machines. Sound, temperature, and smell from the waves constantly emitted by every atom could be recreated with very high definition and precision.“ Tweeter replied.

“Can man read thoughts?” Mary asked.

“Yes, unfortunately he can” replied Tweeter. “A thought, like speech, is a vibration with patterns like music with messages like lyrics of songs. With every thought you sing a song that can be heard and understood”.

Tweeter and Mary were in their nest pruning their feathers. Mary normally asked a lot of questions to Tweeter who always tried to answer her honestly in as simple and short a way as possible.

“Who programs these huge plastic robots who call themselves man?” asked Mary.

“They say that they are not programmed, but have free will.” replied Tweeter. “Man claims that body and soul are separate. The body, the temple of the soul breaks down and needs to be maintained and replaced from time to time. The soul however is immortal and has a secure place in Heaven Inc. that can never be taken away or lost.”

“Why is man so much superior to us?" Mary wondered out loud.

"They can fly faster, see clearer, and hear better. When we break a wing, we cannot fly for a while until it repairs itself. If we break it in midair and we crash into hard rock, we die. If these machines who call themselves immortal souls break a wing, they call an ambulance which brings them a new one in a matter of minutes. If they crash and break apart, police come just as fast and replace their mangled plastic bodies with brand new ones. I don't think they are superior to us.” Tweeter chirped. “After all...we can talk with their ancestors who they have trouble remembering. Man, who designed us, seems to be a very dangerous machine. A machine that doesn't recognize its own creator. A machine that killed nature. A machine that played the role of god by building life, reading thoughts and claiming immortality.”

One morning, Tweeter woke up from a vivid dream. Chris, the son Joe sacrificed appeared to Tweeter in a vision with a message. “Mary will give birth to a boy with a very special mission” is all Chris said.

“We'll name him Chrissy in Chris Ova`s honor” suggested Mary.

In further visions Tweeter had with Chris Ova, the boy soon to be born to Mary was to be one day recognized as the savior of mankind. He would bring man a message of salvation.

“Were you told what the message would be?” asked Mary.

“Yes” answered Tweeter. “The message was “DEATH IS THE ONLY WAY TO REACH ETERNAL LIFE." Man, who is so proud of his immortality, will find the message very threatening and immoral, Tweeter thought to himself.

Ch. 4 Reincarnation

Joe and Chris both applied for upcoming reincarnations. They planned to rescue Lucy and her 12 disciples from Hell Inc. Chris applied to reincarnate into the son of Mary and Tweeter and was accepted without any objections. Gabriel's pet poodle was expecting to give birth to a litter and Joe applied to reincarnate in the most beautiful and healthiest of the 3 puppies to be born. Reincarnating into immortal brains would have been useless as man has lost all sense of intuition or other forms of communication with their heavenly home they left behind 6000 years ago. On the other hand, new-man and other animals had clear communication channels with the spiritual world.

“Tweeter has received my message very clearly” Joe informed Chris. “They are going to call their newborn son after you.”

“I hope that Gabriel's puppy will be receptive to communications with heaven and will be a useful spy for us.” added Chris, winking to his dad.

Joe and Chris were featured on a special TV show to explain to the other souls the plan they had for their new lives. There was a live audience and a deafening applause when Joe and Chris entered the packed auditorium. The souls sat down and the auditorium turned so still that not a sound could be heard nor a movement seen to detract the slightest attention. Joe stepped up to the podium, turned on and tested the microphone by blowing into it in his usual way, cleared his voice and started to speak.

“As we all know too well, man has lost communication with us. But animals and new-man, the unique mixture of man and animals designed by man, have not.” He paused before he continued in a pleading voice. “That is why Chris is reincarnating as a new-man, and I am reincarnating as Gabriel's pet dog. We both hope we have clear communication with spirits who are at home. We will expect guidance from all of you.”

Joe continued, “I will be a dog, a poodle with extra sharp senses to serve as your wandering eyes, ears and nose. I will look at, listen to and smell whatever and wherever my intuition guides me to look, listen and smell. Please guide me well”.

And I will be like an intelligent sparrow who will enter Hell Inc. undetected. Please guide me.” Chris broke in.

There was a great farewell party for them. It was televised and had viewers calling in and personally delivering their best wishes and advice.

“Don't forget”, called one viewer, “dogs, especially poodles, chase and eat birds”. Everyone laughed nervously looking at each other because hidden truth that is unexpectedly uncovered is always funny.

They all wished them well on their voyage as Joe and Chris waited to be called for their departure. They didn't have to wait too long.

Gabriel was stroking his dog when it suddenly went to her favorite spot out in the garden under the porch and had 3 puppies. One of the pups was especially beautiful. Gabriel called her Josy. A few weeks after Josy was born, she brought Gabriel his slippers as he sat down on his sofa to read the paper. From that point on, Josy was most always seen with Gabriel. Gabriel even brought her to work with him.

At about the same time, a few light years away, on a planet called new earth circling a neighboring star, Tweeter was caressing Mary as she was giving birth to the beautiful baby boy Tweeter dreamt was to be sent from heaven for a very special purpose. They named him Chrissy. Right from the start, the baby boy seemed to be special.

The spirits up in heaven rejoiced at seeing all this. Now they had 2 more pairs of eyes looking at the universe and experiencing it for them. And what an experience it was going to be. The 2 new channels “Josy” and “Chrissy” got viral. The number of daily hits reached new view records.

Josy went everywhere where Gabriel went. She even slept at the foot of his bed. Josy would never get bigger than a small house cat. She was pitch-black with the white of her big black eyes and her sharp white teeth the only white she showed. Gabriel laughingly told everyone that Josy knew what he was going to do before he knew himself. Josy was not your ordinary dog. She had a collar about her neck that she was so protective of that she would growl at anyone who attempted to remove it. If they didn't jerk their hand away, she would without additional warning snap and bite it. She was most receptive to intuition from souls in heaven who guided her to what to look at and curiously looked thru her eyes like it was a camera.

Chrissy started flying a few days after he was born. And it didn't take him very long to reach his full size, the size of a small parrot. He was raised to follow all of his instincts fearlessly and to be as free as a bird.

Ch. 5 Chrissy

Soon after Chrissy was born, Mary died. Mary`s mother claimed Tweeter was too much of a dreamer to make a good father and she went to court to claim custody of Chrissy. A kind and empathetic social worker who delivered the court orders advised Tweeter just to fly away with his son and not to risk losing him to his mother-in-law. So he flew very far away and raised Chrissy as a single father. Chrissy, as a child was a clown. He even looked funny. He used to be called “feather and bones”. He came up with crazy wild ideas and was able to convince or dare his friends to carry them out, stepping into the background when the ideas got the group into trouble.

Chrissy, right from an early age, became obsessed with Dr. Joe Ova, the man who designed new-man. He asked Tweeter many questions about him.

“Where did Joe Ova come from?”

“He came from another universe, a universe where our heaven is located.” Tweeter answered.

“Who created his race?”.

“Man evolved from atoms which evolved into molecules that were given the breath of life from heaven”, Tweeter informed Chrissy, “It is all written down in a book called “A Short History of a Long Future – A Guide for New-man”. The book was written by Dr. Ova especially for us. It is his guide book to us so that we can feed on knowledge from man and grow to reach achievements greater than his“.
As soon as Chrissy learned to read, Tweeter gave him the book to read.

According to the book, the machines made of plastics who called themselves immortal brains were at one time mortals made of flesh and bones just like new-man is. Brains achieved immortality by exchanging their living bodies for machines, just like new-man achieved everlasting life by exchanging their life for death. According to the book, the immortal brains designed new-man giving him powers, abilities and skills that were beyond what nature could design in one living being.

New-man's skills were much less than that of what immortal brains had who could fly much faster, and hear, see, taste and smell much better. But new-man had one skill that immortal brains were totally lacking, especial after 6,000 years of immortality - the skill to talk with the dead.

“How was new-man able to convince Joe to go on the expedition to find our heaven?” asked Chrissy one day.

“We were able to communicate with his dead grandmother.” Tweeter replied, "just like you can as well. His grandmother told us that she used to call Joe “Joska madàrkàm” privately. When we told that to Joe, he nearly fell off his seat. Beside himself and his grandmother, no one knew that 6000 year old private trivia that he never forgot.”

That was enough to convince him that his dead grandmother was alive somewhere to be able to communicate with us. When I told him where she was, he believed in me and had faith because he wanted so much to find her.

“How did Joe ever find heaven?” wondered Chrissy.

“Joe went back with Lucy thru the black hole, back into the universe they came from and followed the edge trying to be guided more by intuition than by rational thought.” Tweeter said.

“Being so close to the edge, how did they avoid not falling out of the universe?” wondered Chrissy.

“Leaving the universe from its edge was not possible. The closer they got to the edge, the thicker space got until space seemed to get so thick that they could no longer move in it. Joe described it as being encased in snow. He had to be pulled out by Lucy a few times.” Tweeter laughed.

The laws of inertia stopped outside the universe. The space got thicker and thicker as they got to the edge blocking them from going further out.

They eventually found a narrowing that looked like the universe was emptying into a river. They went down the river and it turned into a canyon becoming a tunnel with a blinding light at the end like a beacon that beckoned them to follow. As they entered this new open space they saw that it had a size that they could easily map. They were looking into a universe 100 billion km across that looked just like a brain. They were affectionately greeted by their relatives dressed in white who explained to them how heaven worked. They were taken to their mansion with a list of names, places and dates of all their past lives.

Heaven had many neighborhoods. Famous artists and entertainers tended to be grouped together, just like famous scientists were. It was like a university campus. Joe and Lucy toured thru heaven like walking thru a cemetery looking for famous people. Some places were lively neighborhoods with many souls leaving and entering the mansions. It was like there was a party in each mansion. Many mansions had “AWAY” signs indicating where the souls were - in which world, and in which new born life. This was to encourage resident souls to watch and guide them during their life trip. Unfortunately this was very difficult to do after brains aged a few years as their expanding rational minds gradually overpowered their intuition. Growing knowledge overshadows faith. It is only thru man's intuition and faith that he could be guided.

Each soul had a space in heaven where they could publicly display their accumulated life experiences. It was like a library of a book collector or a gallery of an art collector. There were souls whose main aim in reincarnation was to acquire famous art pieces. They reincarnated into sons of art thieves, or into daughters of art collectors. Other souls had other needs and wants. Many souls had accumulated over 10,000 lifetimes and their place in heaven was proportionately large.

“Why so many lifetimes?”, Chrissy asked.

“Souls are so greedy and have so much time that they end up striving to try everything there is to try.” Tweeter laughed.

Heaven was a busy place with souls leaving everything behind to pursue their dreams. It was like falling asleep to dream. Most were happy once they died and returned back home feeling like they were waking up from a nightmare. For many, playing life was addictive, like gambling. When they came back winners they eagerly played the game again. When they came back losers they got desperate to regain their winnings and did not know when to stop.

Resident souls not away on reincarnation rested and contemplated and watched life being played out on the various channels. Live programs were sponsored by the many reincarnation agencies. Souls watched these programs like they were reality shows. They watched them to help decide where they wanted or needed to reincarnate to. They had interactive control of the programs. They were able to tune in and focus on any person in any of the worlds. They used the morality channel connecting people to heaven to send out intuitive thoughts that were frustratingly ignored most of the time. Resident souls had the ability to rewind events in the past to review anything they might have missed. It was like rewinding a film to see the beginning again.

Chrissy talked to many scientists who were observing and studying new-man. They asked him many questions. Many were questions regarding new-man's religion, based on faith which claimed that death is the only door to everlasting life in a place called Heaven that immortal brains claimed was only a myth. They proudly claimed that the heaven of immortal brains - Heaven Inc. - was not based on faith, but rather on technology. And it offered immortality not in an imaginary place, but in a physical one.

Ch. 6 The departure

“Dad, I have some news for you” Chrissy came in all excited. “I decided to see for myself where these flying plastic people who observe and study us come from. There is a flight back to new earth, the planet where they live, this Friday. I'm going as a cast away”.

Tweeter organized a big farewell party and invited his entire family. Most were able to fly in and wish Chrissy good luck on his trip. They thought that he was going traveling for a while and expected him to return with an adventure or two to share. Tweeter felt like crying the whole night as he knew that he would probably never see his son again. Chrissy flew away from his nest and headed towards the airport. He sneaked into the airplane and managed to fly first class by hiding in a bag from one of the cleanup crew.

Hiding under a seat, Chrissy was spotted by a 3 year old called Billy who told his parents that there was a bird on the airplane under the seat in front of him. For luck his parents didn't take him seriously.

“Mommy, there is a green bird under that lady's seat.” Billy kept on insisting until his mommy gave him a pill to go to sleep. The million km trip took only a few minutes, mostly for acceleration and deceleration. Chrissy hid in the big soft bag carrying Billy`s diapers. Just before he flew away outside the airport, he woke Billy up and waved good-bye to him. Billy waved back looking a bit puzzled.

It was a beautiful sunny day. Flying away from the airport, he felt quite at home. The land was lush with vegetation and carved by rivers and waterfalls into deep and narrow canyons and wide valleys. He came to a city that was quite unlike anything he had ever seen.

Tall buildings all lit up and standing side by side made the canyons of nature look like small cracks. Plastic capsules were flying above the building, taking off from one and landing on another. It reminded Chrissy of the bees back home flying from flower to flower looking for pollen. Below between the buildings, Chrissy could see what looked like ants. He dived down for a closer look and saw that each ant was a capsule with wheels containing man; sometimes even his entire family.

It was not difficult to find Gabriel's mansion. Gabriel liked honey and kept a swarm of honey bees. When the bees spotted Chrissy, rather than fleeing from her like they would from a bird, they swarmed towards her welcoming him like he was a king for their queen. They swarmed around her and escorted her directly to their hive next to Gabriel`s mansion with its own golf course with a lake having swans and a small forest nearby. It was a hot summer day and deer were drinking from the shore.

After all he was the CEO of Heaven Inc. and one of the richest and most influential people on earth. Flying around the house, the first thing Chrissy saw was Josy. As if anticipating Chrissy, Josy started to bark in a way he never barked before. Gabriel was sitting by the large oval shaped swimming pool. He was having a Martini. He turned around just as Chrissy was able to hide behind a bush.

When Gabriel left to go inside, Josy for the very first time did not follow him. She stayed outside gazing at Chrissy. They gazed at each other a long time in silence. When the spirits up in heaven saw this eye to eye contact, they all jumped up and applauded as if their favorite team had made a winning goal.

Josy and Chrissy went everywhere together. Josy had a big soft bag just like babies had, for their blanket and food, water and toys. Josy treated Chrissy like he was a newborn pup. She picked him up with her mouth so gently that it never hurt Chrissy. With time and effort, Chrissy was able to train Josy to do just about anything just by thought. Chrissy taught Josy tricks. Josy was able to wag her tail by spinning it around like a propeller. Whenever Chrissy needed to detract Gabriel or anybody else to stay undetected, she would send Josy a clear thought and Josy would bark, spin his tail or do whatever was needed to make all people look at her. This way, Chrissy was able to pretty well go anywhere he wanted to go without being noticed.

It was very sad moment when it was time for Chrissy to say goodbye to Josy. Gabriel was at the airport giving last minute instructions to the 4 guards who were going to go to Hell for a one year assignment to replace the 4 guards who were anxious to return home. Of course Josy was there with Gabriel who took her everywhere he went. When it was time to enter the spaceship, Josy started to bark to get the attention of Gabriel.

“Look at that, how little Josy is wagging his tail like a propeller; have you ever seen anything like that in your life?” Gabriel blurted and everyone immediately looked and laughed and commented what a darling dog Gabriel had.

By the time the laughter had died down and people went back to work, Chrissy was in the spacecraft hiding under one of the seats.

Ch. 7 The arrival

Lucy was lying on the beach having just gone in for a swim. She was sad because she missed her family, friends and colleagues very much. She even missed seeing new-man who she referred to as beautiful green little angels. She was very proud of Joe for having designed them. Joe and his team of scientists took all the genes nature produced and man preserved and chose the best genes for each of the senses and skills organisms had. He then mixed this mixture with the genes of man. The result, called new-man, was given a planet called “new-earth” to see how it would evolve. New-man was seen to have extraordinary powers that were unexplainable. New-man could communicate with the dead.

As Lucy was thinking about new-man, she thought she saw one out of the corner of her eye. When she turned to look closer, there it was, a fluttering new-man. She thought she was hallucinating. “What the hell is that? How the hell did you get here?” asked Lucy in disbelief. “Am I hallucinating? “No, you are not.” Chrissy answered. My name is Chrissy and I have come to free you from your everlasting Hell.”

“How did you get here?” Lucy asked again, covering herself first with her hands. But she had too much to cover with too few hands that were too small. She got up and covered herself with her towel. “With lots of luck” was all that Chrissy could say. “I had this calling to find you, and I followed whatever intuition I got. And for luck I got a lot of it.”

Chrissy described how he managed to hop a plane to new earth where he met a toy poodle called Josy belonging to Gabriel. Lucy blushed as she knew Gabriel very well, having a brief love affair with him many thousands of years ago. Chrissy described how Josy saved him one day from a cat who sneaked up from behind and nearly tore off one his wings. Josy, having her first litter of pups took Chrissy to her den under the porch and licked his wounds clean and gave her milk and treated him just like one of her puppies until his wounds healed. Once a year, a trip was made to Hell.

“I sneaked in as I usually did on airplanes, hiding among the cleaning equipment of the cleaning crews. The spaceship was a diamond capsule thick enough to protect the brains inside from the extreme pressures and temperatures of the black hole they needed to cross to return to their old universe.”

“Once we landed on old earth, I just followed my intuitions. We landed right next to Hell on a beautiful island called New Zealand. There was a whale on the beach like a bus waiting for me, I hopped on his back and he carried me all the way here where I found you dreaming on this lovely beach.”

Ch. 8 The termination

The whale was waiting for Chrissy on the beach like a horse anticipating the cowboy's every move. Lucy saw all of this and it made her realize how foolish immortal brains like herself really were and how little feeling and trust they had compared to animals and new-man. Chrissy and the whale swam out getting smaller and farther away until Lucy could no longer see them. Then Lucy did something she has not done for 6000 years.

She cried.

A few days later, Chrissy and the whale approached the beach in front of Hell Inc., situated on the high cliffs above the shore of New Zealand.

The whale gave out a series of clicking sounds and within a few minutes, the sky got dark with sea gulls flying towards the 4 guards from all directions. The seagulls attacked the guards and tore them apart, leaving behind shreds of plastic and cables awash in the waves. Hell Inc. like a cathedral with a high steeple, had iron bars on the windows and a big front door. I flew up on the roof and entered the center room thru an air vent. It was like entering a temple. On either side were jars on a shelf, 13 on one side and 4 on the other. They were like candles on an altar in a church.

The jars were all transparent and labeled with numbers. Inside each jar was a brain. The brains were like dimly lit light bulbs strung across a cable. The cable went directly without going thru any connectors to an antenna under the steeple. The front side of the room was like an altar of monitors. The back side contained tubes arranged like organ pipes in a church. All the tubes were transparent showing how much material each tube contained. The vertical tubes were connected to 4 horizontal pipes. 2 of them went to the side with 13 jars. The other 2 pipes went to the other side with 4 jars. The jars were connected to the 2 pipes, one on the top and the other on the bottom. The top pipe fed a fluid into each jar and the bottom pipe drained fluid from each jar. You could clearly see fluid flowing into each jar from the top, and flowing out into the transparent tube on the bottom. Each jar had an air hole at the top. The simplicity of it all ensured a very high level of reliability.

The first thing Chrissy did was to inject enough arsenic into the tubes entering the 17 jars to kill each of the brains. Then he waited for the LEDs on each jar to start to blink. Within less than a minute, they turned orange and started to blink red and emit a high alarm. The LEDs stopped blinking and displayed bright red skull and crossbones that made Chrissy smile. Then Chrissy inject himself with the last vial of arsenic he had left.

Ch. 9 The reunion in Heaven

Chrissy woke up to applause of spirits. His first words were.

“Where is Lucy?”

“She is still recuperating and recovering” he was told by the nurse attending him. “What a surprise that will be for all of us when she wakes up. She will have 6000 years’ worth of life to share with us”.

“Where is Joe? Chrissy asked.

“He is still burying bones and running after Gabriel like he will for 15 more years the nurse said with a smile”.

Time can zoom by very fast, or it can crawl by very slowly, depending how anxiously you are waiting for it to pass. For Chrissy, it went by very slowly. He reviewed his many past lives and was often asked to give speeches about his life as Chris Ova, the son of Dr. Joe Ova.

Ch. 10 Gabriel

Gabriel, a very rich and important person, had close contacts with the politicians. He called an emergency meeting of the World Council

The most influential people were present. The event was televised. As the people arrived, they were greeted by cameras recording their every move for all to see. A red carpet covered the walk from the entrance where people got out of their cars, going up the steps thru the tall brass doors of the magnificent hall. When all arrived and were in their seats, a bell rang to signal silence.

Gabriel was sitting up on the stage and when the hall became silent so that you could hear a pin drop he stood up, walked up to the podium, tapped on his microphone to test it and said…..

“Animals, especially pets deserve more humane treatment. Something must be done to stop death of pets who are loved members of a family, just like children are.” The head of the World Order of elected officials started clapping and soon everyone followed. “We hold life as sacred and to reflect this and be consistent, the death of all animal family pets needs to be outlawed.”

He paused taking a deep breath of air and swung his head from side to side in disapproval. Then he let loose slow at first and speeding up with each word.

“Man`s pets deserve equal rights to life. And more can be done. But we are going in the right direction. There was a time when animals were used to test cosmetics. That time is long over but more needs to be done. And more can be done. Immortal life for pets can be realized and it is about time that it is. Pets like children deserve rights to baptism and protection from death. They deserve the right to immortal life.” There was a cheer of approval from the cabinet and a sigh of relief from Gabriel.

New laws were passed in the next parliamentary session. Family pets, not being able to decide for themselves had to be baptized with immortal robot bodies, and had to have non terminable accounts, just like “brains”.

Gabriel was nominated for more prizes and won some more. It was a great boom for Heaven Inc. The shares and stocks skyrocketed. Things looked rosy for Heaven Inc.

Heaven on the other hand mourned and no one knew how they could ever rescue and free the founder of Heaven Inc., Dr. Joe Ova from his immortal life as Gabriel's poodle.
